What an oasis of serenity, wisdom and spirituality Ms. Karon's books offer in an ocean of uncertainty. She doesn't avoid life's challenges (friendship, love, death, illness, alcoholism, homelessness, for example), but addresses them in a way that gives readers hope for their own lives. "Patches of Godlight" is a book that you can pick up again and again, open to any page, and come away filled with hope and optimism. This is a perfect addendum to "The Mitford Series" and a perfect Christmas gift (along with "The Mitford Snowmen") for "Jan's fans."
